Tilda & Co ~*~ 26 ~*~ Sketch This...

How about a sketch this week.....Below you will see the sketchPlease make your work using the Sketch as your guide,You can rotate the sketch & even resize the Elements if you would like to,But do not move the elements around,As long as we can still see the original sketch layout and can be easily recognised then that is fine!

There are also some lovely prizes again this week. I love the skull downloads from Kaboodle Doodles that are shown in the example.

So this my card for the challenge this week. Unusually for me I used watercolours (I rarely watercolour my Magnolia's).

The backing paper is Three Bugs in a Rug and the cardstock is from my scrapbox so could be from anywhere?!? The brads are from Poppicrafts.

Challenge 1 First Penny Black Stamp

There is a new challenge blog starting today for Penny Black Stamps!

This week the challenge is to use your first Penny Black stamp. I bought two, this one (Hobble & Cuddle) and the other was Bun Bun.

I chose to use Hobble & Cuddle because it doesn't get used very often, I'm not really sure why but it is quite a simple Penny Black stamp.

Cute Card Thursday ~13~ Xmas Cards

This is my entry for Cute card Thursday where the challenge is to make Xmas cards.

I have used Simon & Lola and coloured them to match the backing papers which are from DCWV. The sentiment stamp is from Clevercut.

We are blessed with lots of sun today so I am hoping that this card will have a wintery feel to it by Christmas.

PTW Katharina's Sketch #3

The challenge this week at PTW is to create a card following Katharina's sketch.

This is another wonderful sketch and such a joy to play with. I had so much fun and the whole card came together really quickly. I am a big fan of skecthes but Katharina's sketches are something else!

Tilda & Co ~*~ 20~*~ Beads of Glory

I have made two cards for this weeks Tilda & Co challenge. The DT cards are stunning as ever, oh to have their talent.

I had a slight problem with the challenge this week because the only beads I have are very small so my daughter raided her beads for me but we still didn't find many. I think I may have to add beads to my ever expanding shopping list now! Sitting Tilda has been coloured using prismacolors and the other image has been watercoloured.

I wish I was...

making some cards but what with the weather and having an enjoyable day off yesterday I have my nose firmly to the grindstone today. I have huge mountains of laundry to do but I seem to be losing the battle with regards to getting it dry. The long cold grey days are doing nothing to aid the situation, the dryer just isn't suited to most of the school uniform but will be working overtime for everything else! I love my girls dearly but wish they wouldn't wear so many clothes, then again my son doesn't stop wearing his and the air has got somewhat pungent in the past...yuck!

My seventeen year old is sprucing himself up as I type. He is off to a gig tonight with his girlfriend. They have arranged to meet with some friends so that they can window shop beforehand? Isn't it funny how the hygiene levels change dramatically when there is a love interest...thank goodness I say!

Anyway, far more interesting than photographing huge piles of laundry I thought that you might like to see a creation from yesterday using a Magnolia stamp, watercolours and H2o's. I am seriously wondering what I am doing wrong with my colouring technique.

Easy Make

I managed to pick up this great Whipper Snapper stamp cheaply a few weeks ago. Trouble was I had no idea what to use it for until a friend needed a little TLC.

I stamped the image using Black StazOn ink (a fabulous ink that I couldn't live without), layered onto a metallic corrugated card and stuck on a Papermania Everyday Designer card (which I find great for those quick makes).

I think that I am happy with the watercolouring, just a shame that my wrist causes my hand to shake!
